Today, President Donald Trump will participate in the recognition ceremony “Hard Work, Heroism, and Hope” in the Blue Room of the White House. The event will celebrate those who have been working on the front-lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the evening, the president will head to Camp David. The trip to the retreat in Maryland will be the first President Trump has made in over a month. He has sheltered in Washington, D.C. since the end of March, modeling federal guidelines for the pandemic.
As states begin to implement their plans to reopen, the president has made plans to travel again. Scheduled to visit an aerospace factory in Arizona next week that is producing respirator masks, President Trump said, “We’re going to start to move around.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for the president as he provides the example of cautiously resuming a more normal schedule.
- In thanksgiving for those who have selflessly and tirelessly put themselves in harm’s way during the pandemic.
