Bipartisan COVID-19 Relief Bill passed by Congress.
On Friday, President Trump signed the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act into law. The bi-partisan bill was passed 388-5 in the House of Representatives, and unanimously by the Senate on Thursday. The new law includes additional funding for the Paycheck protection program to the tune of $321 billion, as well as funding for smaller banks, and money for hospitals and additional testing.
“We have our differences, but we are coming together on this particular bill, and I am proud of that,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. This is the fourth measure that Congress has approved since March 1 to bring relief from the COVID-19 pandemic. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has indicated that he wants to put a “pause” on further measures for the time being.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would lead the President to the most best laws to sign in the future.
- For Speaker Pelosi to be used by God to lead the House to the most beneficial legislation.
- For Majority Leader McConnell to be given wisdom from God on the best route for the Senate to take.
