Protective equipment necessary for all at currently functioning army base.
With infection-protective gear such in such short supply, workers at essential operations find themselves at much greater risk of catching the airborne carried coronavirus. But after Fort Bragg received a donation of 4,000 meters of cloth from the North Carolina State University, soldiers of the 647th Quartermaster Company have hit the sewing machines to see which of them can churn out the most face masks for their fellow Army employees and other key first responders.
Those at Fort Bragg and in the Army across the country feel strongly about their call to help people. “That’s every day in the Army,” Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Manger said. “Right now our medical community is the front line. And dang it, if it means producing masks for the medical community, we’re going to produce masks.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For soldiers in the Army, that God would protect them as they go out as first responders to the current epidemic
- That Army members would feel empowered and fulfilled as they provide care to those in need.
- That President Trump would be encouraged by the good works those under him continue to do.
