Capitol Complex is awaiting updates from CDC.
On Tuesday, the Capitol Building announced that it would be requiring all non-political employees to wear facemasks for the remainder of the COVID-19 pandemic. Employees will not be required to bring their own supplies, as the Capitol will be providing the needed equipment. This new requirement comes along social distancing and personal hygiene practices that were put in place last month.
The Architect of the Capitol, which runs operations for the Captial Complex said, “During this pandemic, we will continue doing our utmost to protect the health and lives of our employees by following the guidance of the CDC… which is evolving as they learn more about the virus and the disease it causes.” Currently, there is no clear end in sight from the CDC when the pandemic will be over.
