Today, President Donald Trump is meeting with leaders and officials from various sectors of U.S. industries to discuss how the White House and the federal government can partner with them in providing aid and relief to the American people. Due to the outbreak, companies around the nation are facing dynamic issues and the president will be receiving status updates on how the various industries are coping with fluctuations in their investments, supply chains, workforce, demand, and ability to deliver goods. He will also be looking to address any issues they are having in order to help the nation and stabilize the economy.
He will hosts calls with leaders from financial services, food and beverage, hospitality, retail, sports, healthcare, tech, telecommunications, transportation, agriculture, construction/labor/workforce, defense, energy, and manufacturing industry groups. In addition to problem-solving, the president will also use the opportunity to hear from experts on ways to stimulate the economy during this time.
Following these meetings, the president will update the nation as part of the daily White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing.
