Fear Not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. – Isaiah 41:10
God reassured the Israelites that He was with them when they followed pillars of cloud by day and fire by night. Darkness didn’t hinder God’s people from traveling with Him. The wisemen rejoiced when they saw the star in the sky announcing Christ’s birth. Those who seek Him still find Him. As prophecies unfold before everyone’s eyes, Christians can be reassured that everything is going as planned. Some day Jesus will return and put everything right.
Of the end times, Jesus said, “But watch yourselves lest your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day will come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21: 34-36). In addition, Paul says, “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?” (1 Corinthians 6:19). Believers can be at peace knowing that God is not only with them but in them. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed. He is Your God.
You may wonder how to stop being afraid or dismayed with all that’s going on in the world. Fear and peace are like two strong men playing tug of war. Which one will win depends on which you feed. Feed peace and confidence by meditating on His promises and becoming more intimate with Him in prayer. Pray for the nation’s leaders to have God’s supernatural strength and wisdom during these times.
Today’s Verse: Isaiah 41:10
fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 28 You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe.
