Communications satellite was deployed successfully.
On Thursday, the U.S. Space Force celebrated its first successful tactical launch from Cape Canaveral delivering a communications relay satellite into orbit. The Atlas 5 rocket launched the final part of the “Advanced Extremely High Frequency” network of satellites to replace an older system of communication tools. This new relay system is expected to last for a total of fourteen years.
This system was previously attended by the Air Force Space Command that has now transitioned into a separate branch of the military as of December. According to Colonel Bongiovi the mission director and head of the launch enterprise office at the Space Force Space and Missile Systems Center, “My entire team is squarely focused on ensuring mission for this satellite to provide certain, secure communications for the nation and its leaders.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would use the Space Force to provide needed communication tools to the country.
- For Colonel Bongiovi to be an effective leader of his mission and department.
- For the White House to continue to grow portions of the military that bring about the greater public good.
