Staffer reports no contact with President Trump or Vice President Pence.
A member of Vice President Mike Pence’s office has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Katie Miller, a spokesperson for the vice president, said late Friday, “This evening we were notified that a member of the Office of the Vice President tested positive for the Coronavirus. Neither President Trump nor Vice President Pence had close contact with the individual. Further contact tracing is being conducted in accordance with CDC guidelines.”
Marc Short, the vice president’s chief of staff, said Saturday that the staff member diagnosed with the coronavirus “is recovering and has very, very mild symptoms.” He added, “He had cold-like symptoms for about a day and a half, and had test results come back Thursday night. He was not in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the member of the vice president’s staff to have a speedy and full recovery with diminished symptoms during the course of the virus.
- For other members of the vice president’s office who have taken precautions in accordance with guidelines, abiding by self-quarantines and remaining at home.
- For Vice President Pence and President Trump and others having to work closely together to remain under God’s protection, healthy and vigilant.
