Coordinates with White House for direct aid to Americans
Following the passage of expanded help for individuals who became unemployed or sick during the current Covid-19 pandemic, Congress has indicated that it will be working with the White House for the third round of economic aid for Americans. The new plan could possibly include direct aid to American families. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin stated that Americans needed access to funding as soon as possible.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell expressed that direct and decisive action needed to take place saying, “Obviously, we need to act,” McConnell said. “We’re not leaving town until we have constructed and passed another bill.” Currently, the details for the next round of relief are not finalized but are expected to also contain help for small businesses and the airline industry.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Congress to work together to take decisive action to bring economic stability during the Coronavirus pandemic.
- For Secretary Mnuchin to be given wisdom on how best to bring help to Americans.
- For President Trump to successfully bring an end to the spread of the sickness.
