Two men lost in Wednesday Attack and the U.S. responds.
This past Wednesday, an Iraqi attack was launched against the U.S. base Camp Taji. A rocket struck the camp and killed two American servicemen, as well as one British service member. The U.S. launched an airstrike attack against the militants in retaliation.
On Friday, the U.S. Department of Defense identified the casualties as Air Force Staff Sgt. Marshal Roberts, 28, of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Army Spc. Juan Miguel Mendez Covarrubias, 27, of Hanford, California. Maj. Gen. Michael Thompson, Oklahoma’s adjutant general, said Roberts served “selflessly and with honor” in a statement that day.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump as he considers the lives risked by United States servicemen every day.
- That the Department of Defense would be comforted as they receive tragic news such as this on a regular basis.
- That the families of Roberts and Covarrubias would feel the Lord’s strength as they process their personal losses.
