Plan projected to bring $100 billion in investments to underserved neighborhoods
On Friday evening, President Trump traveled to North Carolina to highlight his administration’s new economic revitalization program. “Every day, we are helping our forgotten communities and Americans achieve their full potential and live the American dream,” said the president through a White House press release. The program provides incentives to invest in neglected communities.
This program is expected to bring about roughly $100 billion in private investments in over 8,700 areas that affect about 35 million Americans. These communities are 37 percent below their state’s median family income levels, and have an average poverty rate of over 32 percent. The president was joined by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson who praised the growth efforts.
As the Lord Leads, pray with us…
- For President Trump to have wisdom on how best to revitalize poor communities.
- For Secretary Carson to be used by God to bring up the lowest in our nation.
- That this program would be successful in bringing investments to underserved communities.
